PRIME MINISTER'S DECREE

"None." - Leader

The Offspring

Diccon (Cicada x Khar'pern)

Rules

• The Vulcan Peak is where homeless mares come to live as a sisterhood. Stallions may not live here except as captives or companions for the Leaders.

• Warriors keep mainly to fighting, Thinkers keep mainly to raiding, and Politicians may do both, neither, or act as diplomats. Members may issue their own battles and raids, but should generally consult the General, Codebreaker or Prime Minister for permission.

• All major decisions are determined by vote, but the Prime Minister maintains order within the Peak and has the final say.

• Elections for leadership positions will be held every TLI summer, provided the qualifying criteria are met.

• You can find detailed information about how the Peak works on the Rules page.

HEROES GET REMEMBERED

Seasons would change and they would come and go. So life went, especially it seemed, within the Peak. The place was filled with ghosts, and Anath’s chest tightened as she thought of them all. She aches, no, she burns for Black Heart Machine. She always would… from now until the day she died. The battle scarred champagne mare missed her companion more than words could say. Aching for the love that she’d lost. It was hard returning to a home without her in it.

Still. There was nowhere else that Anath could be. She’d been so many places, she’d seen so much, and as always she was called home. These were the twilight years, and she’d spend them much in the same way she’d spent her first. Anath had, admittedly, missed the Peak. Somewhere in the back of her mind, dully, she ached for the Badlands too. With a twinge, she thought of the Inlet too… there were so many places she needed to see again. It was a compulsion. The mare, though going grey and weathered by the years, had never lost her reckless nature.

The mare that approached from down the slope was painted, one that the champagne mare couldn’t place. Anath figured it shouldn’t be surprising-- it had been over ten years since she’d called the Islands her home. While she dreams of her Heart, she knows that everything is so incredibly unlikely. A nicker broke the silence between them, and Anath nods once in acknowledgement.

Oswin. She has manners. Anath… may be a bit lacking in that department. Always had been. Her head was high, a glint in her green eyes. A roguish smile cracked her face, acknowledging the painted mare’s question. Right. No one alive would recognize her, more than likely. Not a single soul alive… that was a thought. She would save that sadness for another day. “Never a stranger.” Her voice cracks, and it sounds strange in her own ears. Had it been that long since she’d spoken? “I’m Anath.” Curt words, but not unkind. She’s always been a bit sharper than necessary.

“I don’t know how long I’ve got left, it was only right to come home to die.” Anath’s words come with a wry smile, the legend resting easily over her haunches. She’s not necessarily kidding, but speaking of death is something that doesn’t weigh her down any. Hell, she first met the reaper as a young girl, when he’d come to take her father away. Loss had littered her life like the scars that littered her champagne coat. When he came to take her hand, she’d welcome him. For now, she’d be at home, training the next generation, and maybe teaching the ones that mattered most.
