I made my below comments on the TV page, buried down... after watching MSNBC tonight and the winds of war with Biden saying intel shows Putin WILL invade Ukraine in eastern Europe. Just lettin you folks know what we may face in the next few days:
With imminent war in Ukraine, everything but that should be off the front pages. My wife and I entertained briefly a Ukrainian delegation here on a medical learning mission. Nice people, like us. They mostly marveled at my Pickup, which I guess they don't have over there, but I brought their luggage fm one hotel to another. Some were indeed pretty Russian, but we didnt' do politics. They did like KC tho. They live in the big city of Donetsk--controlled by Russian Separatists, right on the Russian border. I'm scared for them because that city will fall quickly and they do hospital work, so they'll be elbow deep in war blood. And I have family in Eastern Europe.
No sooner did we get rid of Trump but the world got another jackass, Putin, who this week is bullying Biden with nuclear war exercises. Reminds me of bomb shelters and fears of out of control events dragging us into the unthinkable, like happened in WWI.
Is there no chance for a breath of peace for awhile? We're not even out of the pandemic yet, and climate change is getting worse.
We just don't need any more pricks in high places....thats my story, and I'm stickin with it, Reality!
Today, the networks led with Ukraine, finally.
I'm reminded when Soviet tanks invaded Budapest in 1956 behind the iron curtain when I was a kid. Theyre gonna do it again now. Just like 9-11 did, we'll be focused on one story next week and everything ELSE will be gone; I'm more confident about that than Snowman is about the next storm! Replies:
