Boss's Decree

"For every brother you bring to our
midst, you may keep a trinket all to
yourself. She will not be sullied or traded, unless you deem otherwise. But should you bring a mare here without a new brother first, then I will consider her property of the Lagoon as a whole
and do with her as I see fit." - Garmr

Rules

• The Lagoon is where homeless stallions come to live as a brotherhood. Mares may not live here except as captives or companions for the Leaders.

• Soldiers keep mainly to fighting, Thieves keep mainly to raiding, and Associates may do both, neither, or act as diplomats. Members may issue their own battles and raids, but should generally consult the General, Marauder or Boss for permission.

• All major decisions are determined by vote, but the Boss maintains order within the Lagoon and has the final say.

• Elections for leadership positions will be held every TLI summer, provided the qualifying criteria are met.

• You can find detailed information about how the Lagoon works on the Rules page.

• Upon election, the Boss can issue a rule for members to follow during their tenure. It is up to leadership to enforce.

turn men into monsters

When the painted mare that had imprisoned him disappeared, Vadim didn’t hesitate to make his escape before anyone else could claim him. He hadn’t gone to the Ridge to see his father, despite his scent being so heavy along the border. Nor had he made his way anywhere else except back to the Crossing and to the Lagoon. Vadim didn’t seek anyone out; half frustrated that no one had come to rescue him, but more frustrated at himself that he might’ve needed to be rescued. He hadn’t been given the chance to fight Enya a second time, which was infuriating all by itself.

As the days wore on, Vadim found his frustrations fading away. Instead, he had wandered after the scent of Miriella several times. It had changed since the last time he had seen her, and he didn’t dare get close enough to see for himself what had changed. Another mare, Mercury, had also caught his attention. Just like Miriella’s, her scent had changed. And then….. one day….. Vadim knew why.

There was nothing to mistake with a foal’s scent. It had drawn the stallion closer than before. Peeking from the shadows to see the tiny, fragile fillies next to their mothers. There was no mistaking in his mind that they were his. Only, Vadim had no idea what to do with them. They were better off with their mother, untouched by him. So, the stallion had slunk back off into the shadows and avoided them at all costs. He knew it was only a matter of time before they caught him. But maybe, just maybe, he could stay away long enough that he couldn’t corrupt them as he had been.

With a heavy sigh, Vadim moved towards the border of the Lagoon to glance out across the Falls. Maybe he should do something useful, and go to the Commons? He knew the goal was not the same anymore, but at least it would give him some fun instead of a stressful headache.
