Boss's Decree

"For every brother you bring to our
midst, you may keep a trinket all to
yourself. She will not be sullied or traded, unless you deem otherwise. But should you bring a mare here without a new brother first, then I will consider her property of the Lagoon as a whole
and do with her as I see fit." - Garmr

Rules

• The Lagoon is where homeless stallions come to live as a brotherhood. Mares may not live here except as captives or companions for the Leaders.

• Soldiers keep mainly to fighting, Thieves keep mainly to raiding, and Associates may do both, neither, or act as diplomats. Members may issue their own battles and raids, but should generally consult the General, Marauder or Boss for permission.

• All major decisions are determined by vote, but the Boss maintains order within the Lagoon and has the final say.

• Elections for leadership positions will be held every TLI summer, provided the qualifying criteria are met.

• You can find detailed information about how the Lagoon works on the Rules page.

• Upon election, the Boss can issue a rule for members to follow during their tenure. It is up to leadership to enforce.

in the deafening silence;

what's a king
to a god?

To Rehoboam's surprise, the young stallion before him begins to quiver in place, his gaze far away and unfocused as he seems to get lost in thought. The tobiano frowned, his own eyes narrowing as he watched. He wasn't certain what to make of Nahawi, and the longer he spoke to him, the more it seemed as though the boy had simply lucked into this position and had not a clue what to do with it. Hardly a promising start, but then again, even this clumsy beginning was a far cry better than the future that Psychedelic and Cullen had promoted.

The once-Marauder waited as his brother struggled to find the words, and then listened as he forced them out. What he said was not wrong, and, perhaps, wiser than most of his predecessors. Out of the mouths of babes, Reh thought tiredly, allowing a slow sigh to escape him. "You are correct," he answered, mulling over his own words before speaking again. "Though I would caution you that if the men do not understand what you stand for, they will run over the top of you." Lagoonies were not, after all, known for blind obedience. "It would behoove you to consider how you will handle the men that take actions you don't agree with."

As Nahawi went on to clarify that he was going to look for help, Rehoboam's side rose and fell in a huff. What he wouldn't give to have Tyr at his side again to lead change. Perhaps with an impressionable young leader like Nahawi who was unafraid to do the things that needed to be done, they could actually make a difference. "You have a Marauder and a General. Are they men you support? Or do you plan to look elsewhere for help?"

Perhaps there was a reason for him to stay after all.
