I totally agree with you. This was NOT intentional.
Why the hell would he have done that? To me, that's criminal to have done that on purpose with a lifetime suspension and a heavy fine on that final paycheck allowed by the contract.
Was it a stupid throw?
YES
Carballo was a baseball player turned jai-alai player. He's a great athlete, no doubt about it. And an exciting player to watch. He's been one of the most if not most successful "original" player out there.
Those other guys have way more experience and would look more closely before they threw the ball. It was a fast-paced, "all over the court" point.
