Barkley is indeed the best on basketball and his political views are great as well.
The rub in KY is that Calipari had said for years “my teams are young”, “we are built for March”, “I like my team and where we are going”, etc………
Since 2019, they have won one NCAA tournament game and 2 SEC tournament games. By the way, Calipari says the SEC tourney is not important.
He coined the phrase “this is the gold standard in basketball. “
UK at this point no longer serves as the standard. Teams relying on older kids are advancing in the games that matter.
I welcome Calipari to stay if he will change his position on certain things. His ego will not allow him to do this.
