Ice Mountain

The Ice Mountain is much smaller than Wolf Mountain, yet climbing up it is far more difficult and shouldn't be attempted in winter. Some creatures collect the shiny stones at the peak of this mountain for necklaces.

The white liger cub watched the canine as it searched for him, icy blue eyes taking in the detail. This big animal was nothing like the wolves he'd encountered, nor the dogs he'd heard about. The only sensible explanation was that it was a hybrid of some sorts, both dog and wolf, as it had characteristics of both. The cubs body gave a tense jerk as the hybrid's amber eyes met his gaze, tufted tail flicking up quickly and holding its place in the air as he unconsciously leaned away from the wolf-dog.

As the dog moved forward, the cub took a step back, glancing over his shoulder into the thin crevice in the rock wall. He wasn't sure if he should go inside, wondering if the dog could fit in as well. From the distance they were standing, the canine seemed rather large, but close enough to the width of the small cave that it might be possible for him to corner the cub inside. That wasn't something Squall wanted happening anytime soon. Looking back to the dog, the white kitten sniffed as well, catching the strong scent of canine and mountain air. He noticed the slight changed in expression, however faint it may have been, and eased a little bit. It didn't seem like this large animal was up to hurting him, but one could never be too cautious.

Keeping the distance between them, the liger cub sat down, tufted tail curling around his paws habitually. "I'm waiting for food," Squall answered quietly, not quite meeting the hybrid's eyes as he talked. Many animals did not like being looked in the eye, felt challenged by such an action. "But it's been three days and I dunno if- hey!" The kitten's brows narrowed together in slight confusion, mohawked head shaking quickly. "I'm not a pup," he said, head tilting and tail giving a flick over his paws. "I'm a cub... A liger cub."
