so sweet and innocent are your ways

Kieron
not everything is dark

Yscha was a delicate flower that drove a desire in Kieron to want to protect her. The need to want to provide for her. so sweet ad innocent she was. like a secret you wanted to keep all to yourself.

He faintly heard his name on the breath she exhaled from her lips. he smiled, for he liked the way she said his name. she invited him on her trip through the forest's trail, and he smiled in acceptance. how could he leave his mare to discover her new home alone? that wasn't very gentleman of him, now was it?

As the questions, that he presumed had been pent up in the little mare, flooded out of her, he took each question in stride. none of which he even remotely considered offensive.

"Your first question, yscha. my hopes and dreams are to build this land into a great kingdom. i once led a great and glorious kingdom that had flourished. but other stallions had become envious and poisoned my herd while i was out on matters that concerned protecting my herd. i will not let that happen again. i plan on going to neighboring territories and asking for alliances with the lead stallions. it never hurts to have friends in high places."

He tried not to think too much about his past. he had to embrace the past for what it was and remember only the good. but he couldn't let the past rule him or dictate how he would run this kingdom.

The next few questions seemed to muddle together. he understood the young maiden's curiosity, as far as the mares in his herd were concerned. but he personally had to think about these questions before her could give her a proper answer.

"In lieu of your series of relative questions, pertaining to the herd and the queen's position, i have not yet come to a decision on a queen. i am a picky and peculiar male, and it might take awhile before the decision is made. as for the other mares of the herd are concerned, i have only just begun. i shall have a handful come the end of seven days."

It was all true. he hadn't figured out all the details, but let the details figure themselves out, so long as he had a plan, and he did.

"Thank you, yscha, for your kind encouragement. it means a lot."
