to be or not

Kieron
not everything is dark

Vivianna. the name suited her, like a dagger dripping with poison. he liked it. something about how it coursed through one's veins and had a paralyzing affect. and the way she had voiced her calling was sweet and tempting. yeah, kieron had better keep on alert with this one, or she'd easily walk all over him. even though his previous soulmate had been gifted with the same quality, with maturity, she had used her venom as a way to support her man in his decisions. instead of using it to manipulate kieron, she manipulated his foes and the unruly mares of the herd. he wasn't sure if he'd ever find her reincarnated spirit.

The siren had left him standing in the wake of his thoughts. it was her vocals that brought him back down to earth and out of the clouds above. he smiled at her. these young ladies were learning the tricks of the trade a lot younger than he had remembered. was he just that old? he hadn't even reached his prime yet.

Picking up his limbs, he moved in one solid and fluid motion. gently brushing up against her warm hide. gorgeously painted, like a da vinci work of art. there was an electricity that had coursed through him at the touch of her body. he liked the element of surprise. but he was also a very humble king. mares were the ones, he thought and believed, able to get away with boasting. they had a more refined way of expressing their accomplishments than stallions. brutes came across as egomaniacs and arrogant. something of a title he did not want.

Don't get him wrong, piss him off and your asking for hell to be paid. but he tried to treat all his ladies with the respect due them, unless otherwise unearned. he had played the pushy, "i'll show you" role, and he had grown out o fit. now, he had reached a different maturity level. though let us not forget, he was still a stallion.

"I am coming, vivianna, my dear."

His playful vocals were etched by a gleaming smirk and a twinkle in his orbs. each of his mares brought something different, and he admired that. it was time to escort vi around his kingdom. that was one thing he was willing to do with great pride.

The trails seemed to zig zag back and forth, like you were moving in circles and never in the same spot twice. but he had mastered these trails within two days time. it was a necessity, if you were king, to know the land as if it were the very backbone of your being. and he had made it every bit of himself.

The forest was quiet, for the moment, anyway, and kieron slipped a sneak peek at the vixen beside him. wondering what her story was. there was always a story with the quiet and elusive mares. not always good, but not always bad. but instead of asking such a personal question, seeing as they had just met, he wanted to try and make her feel welcome, and at home.

"So, Vivianna. was it my brute strength that drew you to the forest? or was it my gentle nature that swept you off your feet?"

The cardinal was trying to get a smile to form on her pretty features. he could easily have a dry sense of humor, or a crude and racist one. but he did not believe in showing bad behavior before a lady. that was just written in the secret book of kings. and he truly believed, that to gain a woman's trust, one must earn it through their actions first and then backing it up with their words.

As they neared the inner part of the forest, there was a relatively medium sized meadow, with a nice inland pool, filled with fresh spring water from a massive mountain shaped rock in the middle of the crystal blue liquid. the waterfall sprouted almost like a fountain of sorts from the rock. but besides this little haven in the woods, the forest was dense and made for good security.

The steed's grin as they entered the small haven was wide and proud. he had been completely taken aback at the glorious surprise he had found here, when first scoping out the lands. he was proud to say this was all his. he had worked hard at picking it up, before looking to settle down, and he had to say, the meadow was in full bloom. the greenery was an eye sight to any equine. and most importantly, he felt safe keeping his ladies here.

"And this is home."kieron said, giving a kind nudge on her shoulder.
