The resistance Vi had put up only told Kieron she didn’t want to leave the shores. She wanted to play in the storm. But the stallion was no stranger to the elements of this brewing tempest. No, soon the waters elevation would rise, and where they stood now, would soon have at least an inch of collected aqua, submerging their hooves under it’s grasp. The rain that made surprise visits stung Kieron’s rump in protection of the mare enduring the droplets from the heavens.
As Vi spoke, he listened intently, noting she was still uncertain if he understood her conditions. But he understood perfectly. In fact, it was a perfect match to why he had searched her out to begin with. Making her lead would mean he could be happy. And he hoped in return it would bring her happiness. He knew they would not always see eye to eye on matters, as he was a stallion with testosterone, and she was still young, but all the same, a mare with hormones.
"Vi, I came looking for you, because I want you beside me, as lead mare. I am willing to do everything in my power to make you as happy as a mortal king can."
He nuzzled underneath her cheek, against her nape. He hoped she would be willing to bare a foal this season. He would eventually call a herd meeting once this weather cleared up. But he wanted to make private arrangements with Vi first. Hoping she would also take this consideration to heart, in show of a promised oath, to her alone, that she would be first.
He waited patiently to see how the fatale would respond to him. Wondering if he would need to bring up the breeding season, or if she would. It didn’t bother him either way. He just wanted to give her the opportunity first. So it may not seem like he was forcing it on her, cause that wasn’t the case or his intention at all. He watched her intently, memorizing every curvature of her gorgeous features.
