Slowly, he lifts a doubtful brow. Yep, she's crazy all right. Solgar has had no experiences with earthquakes; he doesn't even know what they are. Even if he was familiar with the concept of the ground shaking beneath his feet - even if he had experienced such a thing at least once in his life - he still would have found the premise of one strong enough to pull an entire island back into the sea incredibly far-fetched.
Unsure of how to respond to her strange statement, the stallion simply looks past her and watches the choppy blue-grey waves of the sea undulating and collapsing in an everlasting dance. He thinks about how this stranger had braved that ocean to reach the inlet not long before, and he thinks about how he had done the very same thing a couple months ago.
The memory is enough to send a chill down his spine. He isn't a particular fan of water; he much prefers to have solid ground beneath his hooves. He likes safety, facts, and things he can understand. Things that are tangible and real. Water will never seem truly tangible to him; it will always seem changeable and dangerous, something with a mind of its own that he can't even begin to fathom.
Dark eyes flickering back curiously to the mare, he muses how she, so far, is not something he understands either. Her name is as unusual as the aura she emits, too. And strangely, that kind of excites him (though he hides it well). There's only a thoughtful tremor in his bottom lip, the one with the scar, to show that he has acknowledged her at all.
"A couple months. Were you... expecting someone different?" His voice is as gravelly as ever. "You wouldn't be the first. Everyone else seems to have been."
