Kozu almost had a heart attack. They were coming. They were coming. The kits were coming. Oh, dear God, the kits were coming. His bronze orbs widened in panic as his mate's paw flapped out and scrabbled around for a second. He wondered what she was doing, before realising she needed a stick to hold onto with her jaws. He searched desperately, before pushing a branch towards her, which she snatched up immediately. All he could do was watch as his mate worked hard to get the kits out safely... And quickly.

It actually wasn't that long before the two males slid out onto the nest, and Kozu could flop down in relief, not even noticing that the second one came out paws first. ~No.~ He scolded himself. ~It's not over yet.~ Getting up quickly, the dual-coloured cougar started licking frantically the first one that came out. They. Were. NOT. Going to die. To give his mate some time to rest, Kozu pushed the kits together and gave them alternate licks each, even quicker than before, wrapping his paws around them as well. He could barely speak between licks, but he figured Nalleya was worse. "What... Do... You... Think... We... Should... Name... Them?" He spoke each time between licks, and hoped his exhausted mate could understand him.
