 Burning bright and brash, she can be. Today though, the creature simply watches. She’s a watcher today, Dresden is. Something about the group dynamic isn’t sure how to sit inside her belly, so she doesn’t make it. The mare doesn’t know how to make it fit, a puzzle piece that hasn’t found the right spot yet… so she doesn’t force it. There’s no way to force it without breaking things, and she doesn’t break things. Dresden lets the things around her break so she can eventually find a place to fit herself. That was the way to do it, now wasn’t it?
“You say it like I’ve got somewhere else to be.” But the sarcasm is wrapped in a wry sort of tone, something that at least the champagne mare can let go. Her tail flicks without much of another thought, dropping her nose to scratch at her knee. The breeze around her is gentle, not unlike the way she stands. The war raging inside her head is covered by a surface that couldn’t be bothered with the world around her. Dresden is quiet and still, but still water runs deep. Her eyes rest briefly on Serenity as she speaks. A nod comes to the morgan mutt, and she shakes slightly… stretching. Yes, stretching is good. It reminds her she’s alive before responding. “Not much serene about you, is there?” And that too is wry, quiet. She doesn’t attack the mare verbally, simply lets the comment sit. Dresden shrugs a shoulder. With her oddly green eyes, though, she focuses on the seal brown mare. There’s something strange about the way she does it, looking for eye contact when she knows she shouldn’t. Her posture is stacked and still, even over all four hooves. The sable mare can haunt when she wants to, and now… well, she wants to. There’s a fixation in those eyes, and it’s something that’s not necessarily meant to scare. Dresden rarely does what she means. mare. mature. sable champagne. walking disaster. |
