Maybe...this was a bad time. Behind her cocky climb, the mare began to hear her stallion yelling, and nothing pretty, it seemed; all provocation, but why? She almost wanted to look back, to cautiously set curiosity on them both and attempt in every female's way to mend the situation, but her pride refused her the action. She had been force claimed, after all, and nothing would let her forget that...for now.

So her nervous eyes kept forward, slow steps dragging lines in the soft sands as she finished scaling the hill. When Nimbus came up beside her, the red speckled mare was almost ashamed. Who was she to get up and arms and feel all important when rather serious issues were clearly being delved out? With a swallow, though, she held her tongue crossly.

After Nimbus' quick, unsatisfying explanation, she turned wide, half incredulous eyes to him in a hard fidget of her head. "What do I look like," she asked, glancing at the older, word-beaten stallion down the hill, "An alpha stallion?" Such male moments would remain his fort�, if she could help it. And in a hushed tone, she spat on, "I got lost coming and met a stallion of another territory - one who wants to ally with us. It's-oh, just a small, useless spot, and none of that is important right now! Honestly, why even ask me?" Her whispers were grated between her teeth, and she tossed another concerned look down the hill.

"I'll say whatever you think I should, just get your friend there calmed down, would you?" Her last two words were more of an earnest beg. Her genuine insides hated the yelling, and a corner of fear wanted to avoid a fight, as words between males often turned to. So skeptic, pleading eyes remained on Nimbus, and her front hooves nervously rose and fell with the tight need of the situation. Could stallions never just get along?
