Those who do not learn from history are doomed to repeat it
I was in the middle of a hard push when I heard something. Ok, I sorta saw it coming first. It was gold, just like the sands and it might have risen up out of them. That is until I passed it at full gallop. An old friend from the Lagoon? I put on the breaks in a moment, sliding a few steps ahead. I turned around and trotted back up to the stallion.

“Sa’in?” I asked. I took a sniff of the air. Definitely the attractive appaloosa I remembered. I smiled at him. “I’s realleh ya!” I was excited. I had enjoyed his company during my time in the Lagoon. I’d even gone looking for him a couple of times since. “Fanceh see’n ya oud’ere!”

We were joined by a pretty-looking mare shortly. I looked over at the younger girl. I’m always a friendly sort, more equines are more equines. As long as they are friendly. I remember the Arch and the small herd there. We didn’t talk much. I think I remember Ruskala the best. Was that her name? Something like that… began with R…

I offered the other mare a smile.

“‘Ell, hai dare,” I greeted. There wasn’t much else to say. Sahin was building a little herd? That was surprising. I don’t know why, I’d only talked to him once. I guess I just didn’t give much thought to the idea that those Lagoon boys would be interested in herd life.
