Boss's Decree

"For every brother you bring to our
midst, you may keep a trinket all to
yourself. She will not be sullied or traded, unless you deem otherwise. But should you bring a mare here without a new brother first, then I will consider her property of the Lagoon as a whole
and do with her as I see fit." - Garmr

Rules

• The Lagoon is where homeless stallions come to live as a brotherhood. Mares may not live here except as captives or companions for the Leaders.

• Soldiers keep mainly to fighting, Thieves keep mainly to raiding, and Associates may do both, neither, or act as diplomats. Members may issue their own battles and raids, but should generally consult the General, Marauder or Boss for permission.

• All major decisions are determined by vote, but the Boss maintains order within the Lagoon and has the final say.

• Elections for leadership positions will be held every TLI summer, provided the qualifying criteria are met.

• You can find detailed information about how the Lagoon works on the Rules page.

• Upon election, the Boss can issue a rule for members to follow during their tenure. It is up to leadership to enforce.

"if i die i will be reborn
better and brighter than before"
- chris claremont

He felt his excitement building, feeding off the passion of the nameless palomino roan. Kendry focused his eyes and ears on the older stallion, raptly attentive to the information spilling into the air between them. The smaller male, Milo, was forgotten as the young perlino imagined himself making a home among the bachelors and perhaps acquiring a name for himself as well. He flared his nostrils when silence covered the clearing again and tucked his chin to flex the muscles of his shoulders and neck, pawing at the ground before him with one formidable forehoof. The possible challenge of his gesture was disarmed with a genial grin, as Kendry had no intention of pitting himself, untrained and untried, against the stallion who might be his way into the brotherhood.

His grin grew, but there was a glint in his blue eyes that spoke of something more than a physical hunger. “Strength I have, and plenty to spare,” he said. “What I don’t have is anything beyond instinct. I’ve never fought before. But neither have I stolen, so it’s possible I can do either. Or both.” Kendry was an amiable and gregarious stallion, big-hearted and mellow compared to most. He’d been raised in a safe environment by a strong, capable mother and lived a relatively easy and peaceful life. Nothing had really rocked his sense of self, nor had he been confronted with much adversity. He knew he was not cruel —violence for the sake of violence seemed petty to him— but he also knew he was not some passive pushover. He was interested in the world, and for the first time in his life Kendry wanted the world to be interested in him.

“What are you lacking? I’m young. I can learn,” Kendry continued, and pawed the earth again. He was more than a handsome face and a willing smile, although both of those aspects would take him far in the world. What he needed was the kind of charisma the stallion in front of him had, and experience in whichever field Rade thought would best suit him. There was much potential in the growing perlino, and almost all of it unclaimed.
