Lord of the Inlet
icelandic | stallion | 13.2 hands | erin

Silver's pure white body emerges from the ocean, her grace for such a large horse was impressive. She navigated the rocky shore with ease, not even breaking her stride. Excitement to finally lay his eyes upon her once again, coursed through his body. They had grown close with in their friendship in just the short time that they had spoke. She quickly closed the distance as soon as her hooves reached stable ground, soon her muzzle was touching his forehead. "You do not have to thank me m'dear. I offered you a home, we were once strangers and now our friendship grows." A smile touches his lips, her happiness contagious. Bumping his muzzle to her chest he breathes in her sweet scent mixed with the saltiness of the ocean.

He pauses considering each of the words that she speaks, her feelings thrown out before them. "I am also fortunate my sweet, sweet Silver. For you do not find friends like you, they are few and far between." Nuzzling her pale coat once again. Fuzzy ears flick to and fro, listening to the crash of the waves on the rocky shore. Lifting his head, he tests the winds. Soon the evening sun would begin to descend towards the majestic mountains that made up the island of Tinuvel. He was excited to show her, their home. Tossing his head, he finds her gaze. "Would you like to see your new home? Freya, my lead mare, will probably greet us. She is one of the many friendly faces you will meet."

Dögun hoped that she would love the Inlet as much as he did. From the rocky shores to the peaks of the mountains, this was now her home. She would learn the best places to find the best tundra grasses or where to seek shelter from a storm. Plus, she would meet the other herd members. From K1A1 to Sigrun, each of them unique in their own way. Excitement courses through the pony king. "Follow me, I will show you the best trail off of this rocky shore." Turning he gives her a nudge to the shoulder, signaling that she could follow him. His hooves dig into the sands, breaking into a ground eating walk. Stretching his stride to its utmost, he heads towards the trail leading out. The going was definitely easier than the way he came down, ascending from the beach it wound up a gently sloping hill. Climbing easily away from the ocean, his frost kissed ebony tail blows on the wind.

Halting at the top, his gaze flows over the Inlet before him. The herd was hidden away in a clearing in the middle of the dark pines. It was the safest for them as night was closing in around them. Swiveling his head around, he waits until her bobbing head appears on the peak of the hill before he continues farther inland.
