Just an outline made of skin

Xanti had been dozing in one of the smaller oases, the fading heat of the sun warming his back while cooler waters lapped at his chest. His tail sprawled out of top of the liquid and moved slightly with the steady stirring of the water as the grullo breathed. His skin twitched at any of the flies that dared to land on their prey and his ears flicked lazily when the cry of some animal he had not discovered rang out through his land. His nostrils flared to breath in the cool of the water and was greeted with a surprise. A stranger had come once again to visit the Dunes. Xanti's head and eyes snapped up and open, legs stirring the water as he made his way out of the oasis. Strangers were so much fun; he wondered if the red had already found the newcomer! After filling his nose with the scent again, the stallion broke into an easy lope and emerged from the water to weave between the ever-shifting dunes.

The sun had nearly dipped down far enough to covered the sky in darkness and stars, so many stars. The stallion flared his nostrils again and found scents of both the stranger and the red. He veered on his path to climb a large dune much like he expected the other two had, eyes pinned on two growing shapes. "Hello!" He called out once he felt as though he was close enough, slowing to beeline straight towards the pair. He was far enough up not to go sliding, yet he did nearly stumble. Xanti grinned at the strange stallion. "What brings you to our home?" The grullo sought to include the red in the title; they were the only two who inhabited the Dunes so far.

The Sorraia took the slight pause in conversation to examine the stallion in front of him. His body was a mixture of mostly greys and blacks, while his mane was almost white. The stranger had also been blessed with the mark of Zurvas, a stripe down his back, just as Xanti and the red had. Xanti's grin broadened a bit when he noticed it and reached out his muzzle to exchange breathes with the newcomer. Whether the stranger was there to explore or to cause havoc – or if he had come for a reason that was not yet obvious – the grullo was simply happy to see a blessing.

OOC: Just added a religion into Xanti's backstory since he's still a blank slate, so I apologize if the post is rough!
