Danny's eyes narrowed a bit at Thoth's sharp inhale, taking in his gritted teeth and pained expression. It was clear Thoth was still in an immense amount of pain, which made him wonder why they'd let him out of the infirmary so many times already. Shouldn't they be paying closer attention to him? Danny frowned a little. Surely the other doctors knew about Thoth's condition, and that he would require special attention... But then, maybe that was why Dr. Gupta had been making sure to check up on him so frequently. Danny was proud, and grateful, that Dr. Gupta trusted him enough to handle this call all on his own, even if it was a bit awkward tending to someone he was only a few years younger than. At Thoth's surprised expression, Danny smiled.

"I'm training with Khasekhemwy," he explained. "He's been helping me learn the ancient language, among other things, and I've been helping him out when I'm not with Dr. Gupta since he has a lot on his plate. He's got all kinds of books at his house, about pretty much everything you can imagine, his library is like, the coolest place ever. He'll be helping me learn about medicinal herbs and... stuff."

Realizing he'd rambled way more than was probably necessary, something he'd noticed himself doing more and more often as exhaustion set in, Danny trailed off with a small smile. The smile turned to a grin at Thoth's answer, delivered so flatly. Definitely a professional, this one.

"Well I'll leave it for you just in case, made it myself," Danny said, putting the small bottle of blue liquid on one of the free spots on Thoth's nightstand within easy reach. And then, realizing that might not be all that comforting, he hurriedly added, "Don't worry, Dr. Gupta checked it for me."

Danny laughed at Thoth's comment, recovering a bit of his spark, and nodded in agreement. "General recovered really nicely, she's flying again and everything," he said proudly. "I've been meaning to thank you again, for your help. Just been..." - Danny ran a hand over face again and gave a worn-out smile. - "Busy. Though I think I'm better with humans, so I'll leave the animals to you if you don't mind."

He yawned then, a great jaw-popping one, and sighed, a weary sort of sound that expressed a tired soul along with a tired body. "Sorry. Anyways, you mind if I take a look at your leg? Dr. Gupta said I should keep an eye on that infection in particular. How've you been doing with the pain?"

Danny drew another vial out from the depths of his massive bag, setting it next to the blue concoction and within easy reach from Thoth's bed. This one would help to dull the pain, but it wouldn't be able to take it away completely. When Thoth addressed him, Sol plopped his big head down on Thoth's bed, mindful of the boy's injuries but still close enough to study Morveren.

"What is she?" he asked with some confusion, rounded ears perked forward as if waiting for her to make some sort of sound. Sol's expression became a little wary at Thoth's caution, his head withdrawing a few inches until only the top portion of his head, starting with his eyes, peeked over the edge. His voice had also dropped a little, almost a whisper. "What will she do if I wake her up?"
