Flying upon new wings

Adelaide had barely pulled herself up onto the beach of the crossing when she had turned and fled. The land had been swarming with a sense of chaos that the grey mare wanted no part of. So her legs continued to churn in the salty waters until she had reached a land she had not seen in quite a long time. Salem was still just as hot and dry as ever with those rolling hills of sand. For now it did not seem so bad with the water still clinging to her skin and making her mane slick to her neck but with the heat waves coming from those golden grains the water would evaporate quickly.

Turning Adelaide began to slowly wander down the shoreline. Still unsure about staying in this wasteland she knew nothing of she decided to possibly meet the residence. Letting out a brief but loud call she paused and listened to it echo in return. Hopefully someone had heard her and could show her to a spot with water to wash the salt from her mouth. Then after a rest and the sun set she could possibly explore. Surely there was more to see here than sand if there was always a lead stallion to take claim over this land.
