Boss's Decree

"For every brother you bring to our
midst, you may keep a trinket all to
yourself. She will not be sullied or traded, unless you deem otherwise. But should you bring a mare here without a new brother first, then I will consider her property of the Lagoon as a whole
and do with her as I see fit." - Garmr

Rules

• The Lagoon is where homeless stallions come to live as a brotherhood. Mares may not live here except as captives or companions for the Leaders.

• Soldiers keep mainly to fighting, Thieves keep mainly to raiding, and Associates may do both, neither, or act as diplomats. Members may issue their own battles and raids, but should generally consult the General, Marauder or Boss for permission.

• All major decisions are determined by vote, but the Boss maintains order within the Lagoon and has the final say.

• Elections for leadership positions will be held every TLI summer, provided the qualifying criteria are met.

• You can find detailed information about how the Lagoon works on the Rules page.

• Upon election, the Boss can issue a rule for members to follow during their tenure. It is up to leadership to enforce.

WE'RE THE DRUNKEN GODS OF THE LIVING DEAD
we're the voice, we're the voice, we're the voice in your head

Ears turned back, head slung low, Psychedelic lingered as branches of lightning crackled and sizzled among the clouds in the sky, lighting everything in a blinding white. There was no sleeping when the world was in such a mood as this, as if Mother Nature was angry and therefore demanding that all her children be kept awake as well. No one could rest if she could not.

Selfish bitch.

Grumbled the voice in Psychedelic’s head, muted but still loud enough that it could come over the crack of thunder which made him pull his ears back tighter. Grunting his agreement the stallion shifted his weight, cocking his back hoof and flicking his tail at his hindquarters, snapping the threads against his skin and stirring the air at his rump. He was tired and slightly cranky, never having been a fan of thunderstorms before, especially not when he was alone.

Another snap of light pried at the eyelids he was working so hard to keep clamped shut and, shortly after, a rippling scream of thunder. Tossing his head up with a snort he opened his eyes at last, weight shifting as his hooves plucked themselves from the mud with a suckling sound and he started to walk. There was no point in trying to sleep if it was very clear he wasn’t going to be and the energy pulsing in the air was making his skin crawl. He needed to move.

The mud wrapped greedily at his hooves as he walked, some patches soft enough that he sank into his fetlocks and worked to pull them free. There was no destination in mind, maybe a hope that the roar of the Falls would be loud and relaxing enough that he could drown out the thunder and sleep – maybe a hope that he’d find a companion or two to tuck up against to feel a little bit safer.

What he didn’t expect to see was a mare. Not just any mare standing by the murky waters of the lagoon – but a mare that he recognized. Psychedelic stopped and frowned at her through the dark. “It’s that weird girl,” he said, flicking his ears toward her, “that one… That one that ran away.”

So it is.

Lightning chose to crack in the sky behind him at that moment, bright enough that its light framed around the outline of his body. Psychedelic started forward, closing the distance between them. “You!” He cried out. “What are you doing here? Why are you back?” Not accusatory but simply curious. This mare was different and strange… Psychedelic wanted to be near her.
