all the pain and the truth

“I know.” He replies,“But that makes no difference to me.”

So far she has doubted his motives, anyone would be guilty of this, but now she can not deny that Braylen must be trustworthy, that, or he's one heck of a good deceiver, after all, he hasn’t taken one step wrong and has been a true gentleman, the fact that he initially didn't notice her sightless eyes had no effect on her, if she had of known that his silence was caused by his guilt of not realizing sooner she would have told him not to fret and that it is okay, which it truly is.

“Thank you.” Georgiana replies gently, “You are too kind.” He would probably never know just how deeply his kind touch and words reassure her; never before has she felt such warmth, or heard a more genuine voice. Not only has he earned her gratitude, but perhaps a stepping stone to her loyalty and trust as well.

When he pulled away and spoke again a smile could be seen in the glint of her eyes. In her excitement she almost too quickly steps toward him, stumbling slightly as she reaches out to feel where he is, swishing her red tail and tapping him gently to tell him she is following him. She laughed at herself quietly, almost embarrassed. Almost.

“It is a pleasure to meet you, Braylen, and I will be delighted to meet Lyden and everyone else when the time is right.” She felt he understood this, that she wouldn't do well in being pressured into it all. Everything is a stepping stone, and one step at a time is what is best for the pale lady. No doubt a group situation does not scare her, or that she isn't some delicate flower who can't take it, but, she decided, that this gentleman, Braylen, was nice for now, that she could wait to meet her new family.

“Your family's Forest, Braylen, I do believe the Winter wouldn't make it any less beautiful.” She remarks, drawing on old knowledge of what she had been told about them, about ancient trees with trunks that are so long they reach the sky and how ghostly they look when barren. The thought of having to memorize every path and obstacle of such a dense territory was daunting but Georgiana will have to and, with the guidance of her leader, she more than wants to.
