Ears swivel atop her crown, she hid something from Dixon, she had not told him about what she had been offered. Lyden had offered for her to be his second, but she had fled, she had been scared, uncertain of how she could take care of others. She could barely take care of herself, a heavy sigh escapes her lips. If he knew what had happened would he laugh at her? How would he react? These fears clouded her mind, raising her anxiety to a point that she could barely think straight. She had followed Dixon here, because she wanted a friend, someone she could confide in when these fears tried to consume her. Perhaps that is why she had sought him out, maybe he could help her figure out her mess.
He pulls her from her thoughts, as he thanks her for giving him a compliment, it was nice to see a hint of a smile. As they continue a few more steps in silence, she can feel that he really would protect her if it came down to it. He confirmed that when, he promised to not let a single one of them lay a hoof on her. A smile touches her pink lips.
"Well, thats good to know." As their moment passes, a rustle in the brush sends her anxiety through the roof. She involuntarily begins to sweat, it sheens over her petite arched neck. Dixon slams himself into her muscled chest, she leans into him, genuinely scared for the first time since setting hoof in the Lagoon.
Out of the brush steps Lyden, her face contorted into a genuine look of fear mixed with guilt. Fear that she would hurt him, her intentions of coming to the Lagoon had been innocent enough. Dixon and her had become friends, she had sought him out, perhaps so that he could help her try to figure out her mess of a life.
"Am I irrupting a date caesisus?” Lyden throws at her, the guilt ripped at her.
"No, it's not a date, Dixon is my friend." She could feel the hostility increasing in Dixon, he taunts Lyden, he can not help but be this way. She had found something beneath his dark exterior, but the appearance of Lyden, had set him back. Her gaze passes back and forth between Dixon and Lyden, both of them staring each other down.
"Dixon, please." She squeaks out, she did not want a fight. Her cerulean eyes settle on Dixon, he was trying to protect her, but she knew that Lyden wouldn't hurt her.
Yet another steps from the brush, this one was different from any of them. There was truly something sinister about this painted brute. He must be one of the those that Dixon had warned her about, she could feel her fear rising with the appearance of this creature. The wolfish way that he stalked, those amber eyes, she pauses. She had seen those eyes before, but who's? She could not collect her thoughts long enough to remember, as the scene unfolds, she feels a whole ocean of emotions dumping down on her. Her muscles begin to quiver, she swallows hard. Stepping forward a few steps, she positions herself closer to Lyden but still near Dixon. She tries to gather her confidence, she swallows hard and raises her petite head high on to her arched neck.
"Dixon is my friend, and I came here to talk to him about life. I am allowed to leave the Forest, you said so yourself. Fate is the one who brought Dixon, I can not help that he just happened to be from the Lagoon." She speaks out with a newfound courage, her cerulean eyes search for Lyden's. What would he say?
