Boss's Decree

"For every brother you bring to our
midst, you may keep a trinket all to
yourself. She will not be sullied or traded, unless you deem otherwise. But should you bring a mare here without a new brother first, then I will consider her property of the Lagoon as a whole
and do with her as I see fit." - Garmr

Rules

• The Lagoon is where homeless stallions come to live as a brotherhood. Mares may not live here except as captives or companions for the Leaders.

• Soldiers keep mainly to fighting, Thieves keep mainly to raiding, and Associates may do both, neither, or act as diplomats. Members may issue their own battles and raids, but should generally consult the General, Marauder or Boss for permission.

• All major decisions are determined by vote, but the Boss maintains order within the Lagoon and has the final say.

• Elections for leadership positions will be held every TLI summer, provided the qualifying criteria are met.

• You can find detailed information about how the Lagoon works on the Rules page.

• Upon election, the Boss can issue a rule for members to follow during their tenure. It is up to leadership to enforce.

I Want Whatever She's Got

Léon was impressed. After a winter of silence and boredom, it seemed like spring had awoken the Lagoon. His father had emerged from hiding and he’d met two new stallions and a the forest group. It had been a fun few weeks and Léon hoped it wouldn’t end. Then a bit of a gust of wind brought a scent to his nostrils. Amber eyes were wide as he recognized it. He cantered off towards the border and spotted the painted filly. He called out a greeting.

“Geirdriful!” He slowed and trotted forward. “Been a while since the weasel hunt, eh? Where ya been?” He tossed his red tail and focused on the filly. He wasn’t the only one who had detected the filly’s scent though.

Dia had been lurking about the Lagoon, hiding in the spots that had been there before. She wanted out, but she was about done holding out hope of a rescue. She hadn’t seen a friendly face since Bondurant in the meadow. Pilar she hoped had gone home. But when she heard a young stallion’s call, her heart ached a bit and she found herself forced to investigate further. The Akhal-teke moved well, her coat still thin from Atlantis as she moved through the grasses with ease.

She spotted the two yearlings. The male couldn’t have been much older than Sokka and the filly was much in the same boat. At the same time, Dia wasn’t about to just let someone wander about. She approached, her ears half back as she analyzed the boy. The Lagoon had a dark reputation in her mind, but she wasn’t about to simply lump the youngling into that category, yet at least.

Léon spotted her and remembered what Psych had said. Yeah, she looked like the angry kind.

“We should go,” Léon whispered, bumping Geirdriful’s shoulder. “Psych told me she’s a very angry mare. Said to avoid her.” This close, Léon could see old scars on her chest. Probably from fighting. It wasn’t that he was scared of a mare, of course not, but she was taller than him (like everyone seemed to be). Dia started at the voice, low and looking back at her. She could tell now that the boy reeked of the Lagoon - he was a native. The girl, though, seemed to lack a male scent over her.

This could be a problem, so she dropped her head a bit more and approached eyes on the colt.
