There are more around than you think Chris!
There was a cougar on the ground in Matunuck, where it killed a deer. A year later it injured a horse 2 miles away. You didn’t find that one. There was a cougar on the ground near the NH/Quebec line, after it was hit by a truck. You didn’t find that one. There was a lion on the ground in Shirley, MA where the Police chief, his officers and the town manager saw it in broad daylight. You didn’t find that one. There was a cougar on the ground in Greenwich, CT near a private School where someone photographed it. You didn’t find that one. There was a juvenile cougar in Burlington, CT which was knocked unconscious and carried to the side of the road by motorists where it recovered. You didn't find that one. There was a cougar on the ground in Milford, before it was hit by an SUV. By coincidence, you were a short distance away giving a presentation of cougars just before this puma was struck but you didn’t find that one either. There was a cougar on the ground after it ran into the side of a car in Nova Scotia. It eventually recovered but you didn’t find that one. There were at least 19 cougars on the ground in New Brunswick and Quebec and you didn’t find any of them. In fact, there were cougars on the ground in a lot of places in New England and in Eastern Canada that you didn’t find. Either cougars are not as easy to find as you say or your tracking skills are not as great as you think they are. Your organization won’t accept sighting reports from Police Chiefs, biologists or other people with special qualifications. You characterized sightings in Craftsbury, Vermont as “disputed” even after DNA confirmed it. Cedric Alexander, a state biologist acknowledged the sightings. How can we rely on anything you say? You are warping evidence to fit an agenda.
