15.3hh - Gypsy Vanner - Lead of the Inlet

He heard the call on the wind and the stallion’s ears perked forward instantly at the sound. Without hesitation he called back in greeting as he reared in a tight turn to go to her. He saw her on the outcrop and raced away in the direction of a trail that would take him to her. Heavy hooves pounded through the growth, mud splattering up all the way to dot his white hide. As quickly as he could he came upon her and stopped just next to her. He touched her shoulder briefly with his soft muzzle and bowed his head respectfully at her.

His eyes looked over her now sleek body and shining coat, a smile starting to grow on his features. When she had left his side during their swim he had been concerned for her, fearful that she had not been strong enough to make it to Tinuvel and worried that he had pushed her to make a journey her body would not have been able to survive. Seeing her now, shining and healthy assured him that the Inlet had not failed him, and in turn had not failed her. This land brought her back to life, all life was to be treasured in this man’s mind.

”I was worried.” He confessed to her. ”And I am glad you made it. Welcome to the Inlet. I see you have already discovered the wonders of the warm springs.” Shaking his long mane from his eyes he stepped passed her, edging away from the cliff where he was concerned his bulk could take him down. Away from the ledge, in his own home, and with company that fed the spirits of herd animals, Pagan also seemed to come to life. His body relaxed, good nature danced on his features. One ear flicked as a thought passed. ”I do not believe I introduced myself. My name is Pagan.” His shyness returned to him as he realized he had forgotten this part of introduction, but other than a mildly sheepish smile, he tried not to let it show that it bothered him.
