WE GO OVER THE MOUNTAINS

“There's someone coming,” The filly said hurriedly to her mother.

“I am blind not deaf Sirena.” The mare replied more bluntly than she intended, the snow covered ground shifting and grinding as she slowly stood. Sirena's ears tipped backward for a moment in irritation at her dam's response, though she kept her gaze focused on the darkened silhouette of the equine that was thundering loudly towards them. As he neared, she noticed his resemblance to her mother, and it was briefly intriguing; she had never seen someone with a build so similar to the woman in the entirety of her life.

Snow sifted as Georgiana's hooves scraped the earth's surface, the bitter sea breeze unwelcoming to her upright presence on the frozen tundra, whipping strands of mane and tail around in a frenzy of twirls and twists. Her body, as pale as their surroundings, ached from misuse as she swayed to her daughter's side, and at least a few steps closer to the male. Red-tipped ears tilted towards him as she listened to his breathing in the silence before he spoke, silvery eyes glinting in the light of the moon as it reached down, just beyond the tree's shadows.

Georgiana offered a small smile to the stranger and quietly returned his gesture once he finished speaking. “Hello,” her gentle voice carried on the wind, “Yes, thank you..." Sightless eyes wandered a bit before they shifted unintentionally toward him again as she nodded to emphasise what she was saying, "We will make it."

“Please show us the way.” A sigh of relief fell from her pink lips as did her words, his friendliness putting her at ease.

Sirena decided to move right beside her mother then, so that she was no longer hidden away in the shadows, an aloof and almost haughty expression smeared across the features of her face. The muscles of her legs and neck were tense and twitching as she touched her nose to Georgiana's neck with a flick of her ear, eyeing the gold and white stallion with an intensity in her eyes that the blankness of her mother's could not hold; a silent threat should he do anything to solidify her mistrust in him (Despite not being given a reason to.)
