A Mystic’s Myth or Fable…

Ailill
Cream Gold Champagne Sabino : Lord of Paradise : LydenXTaytim

A flicker of excitement sparks in the man’s body. It was no secret that very few would take a step with him into the fantasy world of fairies and spirits. Few would allow themselves to believe in the invisible, most choosing to find faith only in that which was solid. If someone could not see it, could not taste it, or could not feel it under their hooves then it did not exist in the world. Many of his species, many of his gender, did not concern themselves with aspects of the world that were beyond the mundane. None chose to explore or question what made the stars shine in the night. What made the moon travel its journey across the sky. What made warmth spread through his bones at the twitch of her smile. These were the things Ailill and his family chased in their lives.

A childhood spent chasing fairies and creating fantasies had let Ailill to see a different world around him. With every change of season and shift in the wind he believed the world had something to say. The magic of the universe was taking its hold on the earth. Even small things such as a ripple over the grass was enough to catch his attention and stir magic in his mind. It had been a gift from his free-spirited sister. One he jealously clung to.

A soft chuckle rippled from his lips and he trotted forward to be beside her. At her side he reached out with his nose and swished his tail in greeting. It would be my pleasure! After all, she needed a chaperone. I will warn you however, I will be hard pressed to share you with any other dance partners. For a moment he thought of Vodnik. The stallions had cometo blows over the possession of a mare. Ailill’s ear twitched in the thought, the only action that showed his mind had wandered away from the present. He stood firm in his views. He would fight for his right and his privilege for such a chance to dance, but she would always have the choice to step away from his bowed invitation.

With a shake of his head and his pelt, the stallion sent a gentle spray of water around them as he led her closer to the running water and some of the smaller falls. Once more the shining grin played across his lips and twinkled in his eyes. Have you ever been behind the falls? There is not much room to move, but it is truly a sight to see.
