Boss's Decree

"For every brother you bring to our
midst, you may keep a trinket all to
yourself. She will not be sullied or traded, unless you deem otherwise. But should you bring a mare here without a new brother first, then I will consider her property of the Lagoon as a whole
and do with her as I see fit." - Garmr

Rules

• The Lagoon is where homeless stallions come to live as a brotherhood. Mares may not live here except as captives or companions for the Leaders.

• Soldiers keep mainly to fighting, Thieves keep mainly to raiding, and Associates may do both, neither, or act as diplomats. Members may issue their own battles and raids, but should generally consult the General, Marauder or Boss for permission.

• All major decisions are determined by vote, but the Boss maintains order within the Lagoon and has the final say.

• Elections for leadership positions will be held every TLI summer, provided the qualifying criteria are met.

• You can find detailed information about how the Lagoon works on the Rules page.

• Upon election, the Boss can issue a rule for members to follow during their tenure. It is up to leadership to enforce.

And its consequences keep you up at night

There is no love, just appetite.
And its consequences keep you up at night.

Kasabian wasn't in the mood for company. He rarely was these days, even if something deep inside him created some warm and fuzzy feelings occasionally after a trip to the meadow with Kendry or a chat with Indian Hemp. Having a brotherhood felt good, somewhere small inside him. It was like a distant echo of the fun and generally joyful feelings he knew he once felt at a higher frequency compared to now. When a conversation would end and Kasabian would be left to his own devices, he'd feel it fade as the sickness began to take over again. Part of him was still there, it was being suffocated and tortured by this new version of self, but it was still fighting.

So when a stranger approached him, spouting blunt questions in his face, Kasabian instinctively pinned his ears. The buckskin stallion snapped his head in the direction of the stallion, his whiskered lips pulling back to revel two rows of yellowed teeth as he barred them defensively at the stranger. It was fair warning, Kasabian assumed in his mind, not to come any closer.

Green eyes assessed the light colored paint stallion now. Something about him seemed familiar. Perhaps they had crossed paths in the Lagoon before. But Kasabian couldn't recall his name. With an idle flick of his dark tail, Kasabian raised his head high over his withers, but otherwise his defensive stance began to slack.

"If you had to guess, who do you think?" Kasabian spat, and eyed him as he waited for an answer.
