Boss's Decree

"For every brother you bring to our
midst, you may keep a trinket all to
yourself. She will not be sullied or traded, unless you deem otherwise. But should you bring a mare here without a new brother first, then I will consider her property of the Lagoon as a whole
and do with her as I see fit." - Garmr

Rules

• The Lagoon is where homeless stallions come to live as a brotherhood. Mares may not live here except as captives or companions for the Leaders.

• Soldiers keep mainly to fighting, Thieves keep mainly to raiding, and Associates may do both, neither, or act as diplomats. Members may issue their own battles and raids, but should generally consult the General, Marauder or Boss for permission.

• All major decisions are determined by vote, but the Boss maintains order within the Lagoon and has the final say.

• Elections for leadership positions will be held every TLI summer, provided the qualifying criteria are met.

• You can find detailed information about how the Lagoon works on the Rules page.

• Upon election, the Boss can issue a rule for members to follow during their tenure. It is up to leadership to enforce.

LONG SHADOWS LURE YOU IN.

It didn’t take long for the welcome party to arrive in the form of one wayward grey stud. Zenith eyeballed his thick frame closely, watching his muscles push against the skin under his coat. He had seen quite a few horses like him before and in the desert, they were usually the ones who fell to the sand and became food for the vultures first. But of course, they were nowhere near his barren desert—and he didn’t need this other stallion’s company to know that fodder here was ample.

“I’m no stranger,” Zenith answered evenly, keeping his impulse for making snide remarks at bay until he could regain a bit more of his strength. He walked casually toward Fallo, brushing his bony frame against the other stallion’s shoulders as he passed. “But I take it you’ve been enjoying the good eats here for at least a little while,” he called behind him as he kept walking.

Fallo could easily follow him if Zenith had managed to pique his curiosity, or just leave him to his own devices if that suited him. Such was the way of the Lagoon. Everyone here mostly minded their own damn business unless they wanted something. If the grey stallion did decide to follow him, then Zenith knew precisely what he would do next.
