�I have.� Zevulun answered with a proud smile, perking up a little. �Born and raised.� In fact, he�d not yet left Tinuvel. Two years were spent on this island and Mariael, wanting to raise him to be a vital member of their family, had taken the time to walk him through all of Tinuvel and teach him the ways of the island. If anyone was to be a helpful guide for Kikka, Zevulun believed he was it. When she asked him to show her, Zevulun hardly blinked before he gave a bobbing nod of his head. �I�ll show you around,� he said, �so you can return quickly to your brother and tell him what you learned of Tinuvel.�

Of course, thinking of how well Mariael had taught him also reminded him there was reason to distrust strangers. Mariael would ask him later why Kikka had wanted to see everything there was to see of Tinuvel and why her brother cared to know. Mariael would be suspicious, Zevulun knew, so he�d do his best to skirt around the questions in order to make sure Kikka was merely some sort of curious explorer, just the way he was. Looking at her, Zevulun couldn�t see anything malicious in her quest for knowledge. Surely Kikka and her brother were merely interested in the world and that was that. Not everyone needed to be looked at with guarded suspicion!

�You don�t need to offer me anything,� he said with soft warmth in his tone and a smile on his mouth, �but I�ll keep your offer tucked away, just in case I ever need it. Now, come on, we shouldn�t waste time when you�ve got family to get back to.� His grin picked up a bit and he looked around them. �So, you�ve seen the beach and much of the beginnings of the forest, we should probably travel further inland. I�ll point out the places of interest as we go and you tell me if there�s something you want to inspect more closely.�
