Boss's Decree

"For every brother you bring to our
midst, you may keep a trinket all to
yourself. She will not be sullied or traded, unless you deem otherwise. But should you bring a mare here without a new brother first, then I will consider her property of the Lagoon as a whole
and do with her as I see fit." - Garmr

Rules

• The Lagoon is where homeless stallions come to live as a brotherhood. Mares may not live here except as captives or companions for the Leaders.

• Soldiers keep mainly to fighting, Thieves keep mainly to raiding, and Associates may do both, neither, or act as diplomats. Members may issue their own battles and raids, but should generally consult the General, Marauder or Boss for permission.

• All major decisions are determined by vote, but the Boss maintains order within the Lagoon and has the final say.

• Elections for leadership positions will be held every TLI summer, provided the qualifying criteria are met.

• You can find detailed information about how the Lagoon works on the Rules page.

• Upon election, the Boss can issue a rule for members to follow during their tenure. It is up to leadership to enforce.

They're Catching Onto Us

They said we'd burn so bright.
We burn this city and go.

Paradiso couldn't really pinpoint what it was that made him linger in the Lagoon after the strange run-in he had with Argento the day before. But the young spotted stallion had decided he wasn't done exploring this place yet. After all, he came here for answers, for some sort of solace. He wanted to get a good idea of what it was like to live here. Maybe then he could understand his brothers, Shamwari and Kasabian. Only then he could begin to fathom the true torment his mother, Evaline, underwent during her captive period here. Only then he could begin to truly understand what went on here, and why the Lagoon even existed among the isles.

Right now all Paradiso was was confused. He was melancholy and bit lonely. He was restless from these feelings related to his family and unsure of how to process them. That morphed into anger. He was angry at himself, at his brothers, at the bachelors who wanted to hurt others.

So he wandered. For a full day, the stallion didn't sleep. Instead he crawled through the mud and the muck that made up the ground level of the Lagoon, taking short dips into the cool water and then moving toward higher ground to amble through the brush. He looked a bit wild and unkempt, with dried mud caked to nearly his shoulder and twigs and leaves clinging to the matted strands of his mane and tail. Clearly he was feeling a little unhinged.

Eventually the sun fell beyond the horizon and then rose again, signaling a new day. And still, he ambled. But when he came across the fresh scents of a few others, the tired stallion chose not to hide himself, but instead, to follow the scents, until he saw two unfamiliar stallions standing together in the distance. He was about to emerge when Argento, wandered in. Paradiso swallowed hard as he was forced to remember their awkward encounter from the previous day. But he snorted once, and then mustered up the courage to approach the rest of the band.

"Hey." He mutters bleakly, his eyes and head held low to the ground. He nods briefly to Gent before his icy blue eyes fall onto the other two stallions. "I'm Paradiso."
