we're the trash in your bed

“Yes!” Talya chirped quite happily as Aurora spoke as to their desire to explore the Forest. She wanted to see everything and she danced impatiently on her nimble legs, smile wide and bright. Psychedelic glanced over at her and felt (somewhere inside that crusty thing he called his heart) a little bit warmer. He was doing the right thing here. He was doing right by his daughter.

GROSS. Give me a break.

Psychedelic flicked his ear and glanced at Persephone, deciding to put his attention onto the present rather than that little voice inside him that was trying so hard to pull him back to his old ways. It would be best to focus on the now. Talya was already quite a bit of energy and odd ends to take in, he couldn’t very well give away the fact that he listened more closely to the little voice in his mind than most did. One bit of crazy in the pot was more than enough. Psychedelic wasn’t going to ask Persephone to take on two nut jobs.

“Thank you, Persephone.” He said, echoing Aurora’s moment of gratitude. His voice was soft enough to come across as wholeheartedly relieved and in a way, he felt it. Things hardly ever worked out this nicely for him and it was nice to have the turn of fates spin a different way for once. For all his luck he could have come to Luthien only to somehow stumble into Kasabian, where he’d then have to answer to why the hell he’d tucked tail and ran in the first place.

Hey Talya, meet your brother, Kasabian. He’s going to murder me now probably so bye I guess.

Yeah, it just didn’t have a good ring to it.

“I could go for a tour.” He said, almost following it up with, I never traveled to the Forest before and cut himself off before he could say it. His eyes drew quickly to Aurora and he hesitated before smiling and looking at Persephone again.

Talya unsurprisingly took a large, excited inhale of breath and exhaled it with a loud, “Oh yes!!” She flicked her half-grown tail and pranced in place, throwing her head and smiling wide and happy. “I’m soooo excited!!” Her bright eyes sought out Aurora, and she bounced a little closer to her new best friend. “Are you excited Aurora?”

Psychedelic smiled a bit fondly at the two of them, not even realizing he was doing so.
