my mind's like a deadly disease

After everything you’ve done, I can thank you for how strong I’ve become

Unmoving, he watched as her facade scrunched up in confusion. With his rage beginning to fade, he knew that his choice of stealing her away could mean bad things for his herd later on, but for the time being, he wasn’t sure he cared. Koray deserved what he got. This mare would someday see he had rescued her, unless she’d been thoroughly brainwashed. Orkaan snorted, the heat rolling out like a light wisp of steam from his nostrils. His eyes roamed the femme, searching her face as well as her body language, catching on the slightest shaking of her legs. It could be the cold, but the brute liked to think himself an intimidating figure, especially standing at his full height with a fire lit inside him. He prepared himself to answer but she seemed to have pieced things together.

Her brother? Unable to stop the surprise from spreading across his face, the stallion cocked his head to the side, sea water dripping across his neck. Koray is this little fireball’s brother? Never laid a hoof, yeah right. With a flick of his tail he dismissed her words as easily as if she were nothing more than an annoying fly on his hide. ”Whether or not that’s true, you are blinded by your kinship with this man. He is a threat that I plan to extinguish.”

Her next question was one he couldn’t say he had a real answer to. Why take her? He had been in the heat of the moment, fueled by his rage and disgust. But why keep her against her will? She’s brainwashed. She doesn’t understand she needs saving. She is safer here, he reassured himself, regaining every ounce of confidence he’d had when he herded her away from the crossing isle. Of course the fly didn’t know when to stop, and her next words sent the animal inside his chest into a frenzy.

Snapping his teeth in the air, the draft stallion pushed his nose against hers when she stepped forward, his auds flat against his skull and his nostrils flaring. If she wanted to play big, he would treat her like any other threat. ”You would do well to respect me. I am Orkaan and from here on out, I will be your King.” Perhaps he would have considered letting her go before, but the flame she;d sparked was more destructive than she could know.
