I'm a liability

They say, "You're a little much for me,
You're a liability"

What a turn of events, that the first equine she would meet on the islands would claim the forest as her own; the very place Silvi had been searching for. Of course, it could be fate. Or the gods, whatever you believed in. The raven hued mare wasn’t sure what she believed yet. There were simply so many possibilities! As her wide, sapphire eyes took in her friend’s grinning face she felt like she could fly. Perhaps this was what it was like to be an eagle, or an owl since she preffered the night.

Suddenly, an idea began to form. She’d wandered away from Pilar, just for a bit to visit the Forest on her own, but upon seeing Persephone there, it seemed almost perfect. Surely she would welcome the girl and her friend if they wanted to reside there? She’d have to tell the marwari mare all about it! Just thinking of Pilar warmed her to her core. Though their friendship and bond was unusual in it’s forming, she felt like she could count the femme among her family. She felt the distinct urge to protect her, a pierce love and loyalty. The other woman had been quick to suspect Jaxon and step forward to fend for them, though she was still drawn in by the strange stallion who claimed to wish for friends. Silvanus believed him, though it was obvious Pilar did not.

Refocusing, her auds pricked as the roan mare motioned for her to follow her deeper into the forest. So kind, she thought with warmth. I am lucky to have such friends. Her hooves barely clicked against the ground as she trailed beside Persephone, the sound muffled by the cold and light dusting of snow.

”That’s wonderful! I’m so happy you’ve started forming something of a family! Yes, Shamwari was very kind to me. He gave me a warm place to sleep, safety, and food for the time I stayed in his land. I suppose I was lucky,” she admitted in embarrassment. ”I kind of just wandered in. I could have gotten myself killed. I tried to be more careful this time. I’ve a foal to think about besides myself now.” The last bit came almost shyly, unusual for the exuberant black mare. Unconsciously her eyes flickered to her side, the rounding barrel that suggesting life growing within her.
