Glorall

Disaster has struck!
Flooding from the north has taken its toll on Glorall. The large tides combined with the increase in water draining from the Ruieze River has flooded the lower regions of the pack. The sandy soil, compounded with so much water, has toppled a lot of trees. Traveling is difficult even when the water is shallower, with the sandy soil below being difficult to find traction on. The daily tides seem to keep the level of flooding fairly consistent, too.

During the low tide, wolves may be able to move around the higher dunes (with some difficulty) but during high tide, the pack is almost impossible to safely navigate. Swimming is possible, but the risk of currants and surges from either the ocean or the river are very real. The island off of the coast of Glorall is untouched by either issue, although it is incredibly difficult to find your way there without being an adept swimmer with plenty of good luck!

Note: Glorall will reopen once 30 posts have been completed (or at Staff discretion). During this time, new threads will receive a 'Surprise','Disaster', and prizes. Glorall is currently not open for challenges.

Badar had seemingly been born much in her mother's image; she had never uttered a word and yet, she had seldom been truly quiet. She was unashamed in her battling for independence even if her siblings often times got in the way; she wanted the best food, the best sleeping spot, to be the first out of the den, the first to hunt. She had an ever-growing list in her mind and she did her best to share her unspoken joy with Eva when she could. As for Eira and Zion? Well, Eira was not so bad though she had been close to Zion for some reason - Badar could not understand entirely. She was sure her brother loved them all and yet, she had a keen enough eye to see the particular nature of his own unspoken thoughts.

In any case, she had made an effort to be okay with doing things by herself. Often, she snuck from the den to tumble about in the underbrush and sand by herself; she'd play tug of war with the branches and spar with the crabs whenever they ventured close. One might have thought her lonely and yet, she seldom stopped wearing her smile. Today though, she had spied something more fun than crabs and branches. Eira was alone and seemingly on her own mission.

So she followed - quiet and wiggling with excitement at her hunt. She did her best to avoid being spotted until her sister made it to the beach and though Badar's own curiosity sought to make her break her cover, she refrained. Instead, she crouched low and shuffled forward, timing her steps with the crash of the waves when she could. It was only when Eira giggled and lowered her nose to the surf that Badar broke her cover with a playful shuffle in the sand. Then, she dove for her sister, intent on knocking her into the water before she too planned to follow her into its ankle deep depths.
