Susil Crags

Disaster has struck!
The Crags are a series of rocky formations with small caves and crevices throughout. Many of the lower-lying areas of the Crags have been flooded, however, with water pouring in from the Northern stretches of Moladion. Some paths have been completely submerged, and some are nothing more than a few rocky peaks sticking out of the water. The water is fairly slow moving but begins to pick speed up towards the Grotto, becoming a series of intense rapids and waterfalls as it nears the Grotto's entrance.

The area itself is still traversible. However, it can be risky. Large amounts of debris can enter the waterway, creating bridges at times but also creating dams that break and cause ocassional flash-flooding. Be careful, travelers! One wrong step and you could end up finding out where the water goes.

Lucia

She sighed as she made her way out of the den and headed out into the crags. She was restless and couldn't sleep. Her parents were sleeping soundly in the den behind her, curled up around each other, though she knew better than to think that Exodus was ever sleeping soundly. He seemed to hear and know everything. She swore he slept with one eye open. But it never deterred her from going out in the middle of the night. She knew better than to go anywhere questionable at this time cause Exodus would be sure to know about it. She also chose to meet Ghost during the day when her parents would figure she was out making friends and doing more innocent things. Not learning Latin and defense from a stranger they knew nothing about. So at night, she kept it to walks among the rocks and maybe a hunt for small prey if she got hungry. Her stomach rumbled at just the thought so maybe she would find something tonight.

She headed deeper into the crags, soon following the sound of the waterfall as she licked her lips. She might need a drink before she could do any good hunting. As she got closer, she was curious of the loud splash that echoed off the rocks. It sounded like something fairly heavy fell into the water. Wondering if it was just deer or something playing in the water, she crouched and slowly moved to a higher perch so she could observe before she made a move. Maybe her hunt would be a little closer than she first imagined. As she peaked over the edge of the rocks, she had to blink a few times to finally figure out what she was seeing. But then she gasped and hurried down the rocks toward the water, because she felt a flash of recgonition at the body that was starting to sink deeper into the water. "Myrria!" She cried as she got closer to the water. Her eyes were wide as saucers, a new fear gripping her heart. Why wasn't she trying to swim, to get up?

She could finally make out the sounds of Myrria's name now as she couldn't when she was younger but she couldn't think about that now. She had to save her sister! Even though they weren't from the same litter or even from the same fathers, she had always felt closer to Myrria growing up. Myrria was her protector, her shadow when she first met Aeon and started to explore Moladian. Myrria was her sister by choice and by the blood of Malleah that ran through their veins. She feared the worst as she saw Myrria's body stay limp in the water, like she had no intentions of saving herself. Lucia just kept telling herself as she ran into the water that she heard the splash so it couldn't have been that long. The water splashed up around her legs as she raced in without hesitation. She started paddling when she needed to, trying to save her breath in case she needed to go under.

When she got closer to Myrria's body, she flung herself down, her jaws aiming to clamp onto Myrria's scruff and pull her head back above the surface. Then she would start swimming toward the edge while dragging the body with her, trying to keep Myrria's head above the water the whole time. Once reaching the edge, she would drag Myrria's body out of the water before nudging desperately at Myrria's head. "Come on, Myrria, wake up! You can't be dead, you can't!" Tears stung her eyes as she paced by her, unsure of what to do. She couldn't have lost her already, right?
