Evren was pleased to see that her words had placated Creed somewhat, and so she felt some of the fire within her begin to simmer down. When Creed offered her assistance, Evren offered a resigned smile and began to shake her head, but stopped when a sudden thought struck her. For a moment she was pensive, her eyes darting around at nothing in particular. Then her expression became focused and businesslike.
"Actually, there is something you could do. Nothing big, don't worry. But I think the forest could probably use more eyes keeping watch on it. I could see things only getting more hairy around here when Persephone returns, so I'd advise you to be vigilant and let one of us know if you see anything out of the ordinary.
"Other than that... just stay safe, and don't blame yourself for what's happened. We may not know each other well, but you're a valuable member of this herd, just like anyone else. The closer we all are, the safer we are from brutes like Warsaw."
Evren's eyes widened. "Oh, gods, I just realized... I never introduced myself, did I? I just assumed you'd know who I am, given we've seen each other around. Here I am, just chattering away at you like a magpie." She laughed merrily, with a toss of her head and a flick of her tail. "I'm so sorry, Creed. I'm Evren, if you didn't know. Sephy left me in charge in her absence. I know I've only been here a few months, but I used to lead the desert on Salem."
She tilted her head. A little voice inside her told her she was talking too much, but she shut her ears to it. "You know, why don't you tell me a little about yourself? Might as well get to know each other, while we're here."
