He'd finally done it. He felt like a new man after getting to cover not one but two mares this season. At least, so far. He might still get a chance to cover more and he looked forward to it. So this was what it was like to lead a herd. To have his own mares and make his own rules. He liked it, a lot. He finally felt the freedom running through his veins and he'd do pretty much anything to keep it now that he'd gotten a taste. He'd fight tooth and nail for such a thing. The mares he were running into were head strong, though. The blind one in the Falls didn't want to come willingly and then another mare had to come and try to play savior, like that would stop him. Then another stallion had to come fight with him cause why not make it as difficult as possible? But he wouldn't give up. He wasn't that kind of stallion.

He'd had not one but two mares wander into the desert now, but both times, they seemed to find the strange slender stallion who was like a fly that wouldn't go away. Cain would have to get down to the nitty gritty on that one soon enough. He either needed to pledge loyalty and obediance to Cain or get lost. He couldn't just live here, rent free. But there was a mare he ran across this season that didn't fight him, and he liked it. She was a big sturdy mare and would give him strong offspring to be proud of, he was sure. When he came across her smell in the desert, his skin tingled at the memory of their last encounter. He had no hesitation in loping straight for her. When he saw her up ahead, he gave out a call and pranced up to her, tail up like a flag and neck arched proudly.

His eyes gleamed as he looked her over, ears pricking toward her as he stopped and reached out his muzzle. "We meet again, pet. I don't think I ever got your name. I'm Cain, leader of the Desert. What can I call you?"
