He wasn't expecting Xiomara to be waiting for him or anything. She'd probably forget she even sent for him and would be surprised when he showed up. Maybe she'd just chastise him for taking his sweet time. It was hard saying good bye to Solaris and Galexia. When he sent out the call, he didn't expect an answer, at least not right away. He lowered his head to sniff the ground, his cold skin shivering as the open air hit his wet hair. When the return call came, his ears pricked and his head snapped back up. He recognized her voice, but it threw him off. Was she happy to see him? That's your hopes and dreams talking. Don't be daft, idiot. She's just telling you to stay put, like the good dog you are. He snorted and stomped the ground, turning his gaze as he heard another coming. When her solid form came into view, his lips twitched in a nervous smile. How was he supposed to greet her?

She seemed to be studying him and he was sure she could probably see him shivering. If he wasn't so tense, she would probably hear his teeth chattering. When she said his name, he dipped his head in greeting. "Xiomara." As she looked over his shoulder, he tucked his tail a little and looked around himself, almost thinking she saw someone coming after him. When he saw nothing, he let out a soft snort, turning his curious gaze back to her as she spoke. She said she almost expected an angry mare attached to his side. He scowled before shaking his head. "Solaris isn't exactly happy with me right now, anyway. At least, she hasn't been." In all honesty, he wasn't sure where they stood right now. She said she was over him bringing Xiomara back but then she asked him to breed her and he turned her down. Surely that wouldn't make her happy.

She told him welcome home and his ears flicked back uncertainly as he looked around. His lips twitched a little in humor though. "I remember how cold this place gets. I stayed here for a short time before going to Paradise." He tilted his head, watching her. "So, lead mare now? Why would you trade for the likes of me?" He couldn't understand it. What good would he be to her?
