She was pacing uneasily by the shores, waiting to see who would return from the battle. When the strange stallion returned and announced himself victorious, Illusion had been curious, but also worried. She'd become friends with Shaydowfax in her time here and she was concerned that the pregnant mare or her unborn child might be hurt. She wondered how bad the battle got and of course, what kind of ruler Bahadir would be. She knew better than to judge on first impressions. Sure, he probably hurt Shaydowfax to get here, but that was all part of the leadership game. Shaydowfax knew the risks when she took the lead mare position and then bred with a stallion, but that doesn't mean Illusion couldn't worry for her. She snorted softly as she watched and waited. She let Bahadir know that she would be staying. This place was her home and she wanted it to stay that way.

She was anxious to meet him face to face and find out what she needed to expect but when she heard that Shaydowfax would be staying, her ears pricked and her heart thumped with joy. At least she knew she would still have a friend here. When she saw the other mare trotting to the water, she let out a nicker and trotted over to meet her. Her own sides were rounding from her breeding with the strange stallion in the free lands but she looked forward to having a child. As she got closer, her ears went forward and her tail gave a swish as she lowered her head and gazed at Shaydowfax with concern. "Nice to see you back. How are you? Are you hurt anywhere? Do you need anything?" She hated to throw all the questions at her but it all just came pouring out.
