Solaris

Angel confirms it was true that the blue mare was cast out of the Inlet, but she expected it to be Warsaw who had done it. She was surprised to learn it was Vita Nova, the Tinuvel Queen who had cast her out. Solaris couldn't imagine what would happen to her grandfather's island now that things had been turned so upside down. Just as her relationship with Angel has become an insane feat, so has the rest of the islands. Was there any place that would seem stable anymore? So far she only knew of the Lagoon that kept its same leaders and control. Perhaps she was better off there, but alas Angel was not there. She didn't understand it, but she could not wash the scrawny buckskin from her thoughts.

Brown eyes frantically look over his body, his face, for any signs of a surprise when she tells him their family now lives in the Lagoon. She listens to him and nods in agreement. Galexia was much too pretty to be a bachelor trinket. They would surely fight over her, she was in danger growing up there. Solaris saw flashes of her young daughter falling pregnant at such a young age. But as long as Raider was there....Solaris would see her strong new lover charging in and fighting them all off. Galexia would be okay as long as she kept this relationship going. "I agree with your worries, but..." Her voice trails off as her eyes glance around the tundra around them. How could she explain this to Angel?

"She will be safe, we both will be safe, as long as we stick by Raider." She says his name for the first time in front of Angel. It felt so wrong, but it was time. It was time he knew the truth. Tears form in her brown eyes, but she is able to bring herself to look into Angel's copper eyes again. "It is time I explain things to you. You need to know how our relationship got so messed up. You should know what I've done to you." The tears fall in silence, but she continues. She does the best she can at keeping the sobs from keeping her from speaking. "When we first met in the commons so long ago we were already starting on the wrong hoof. I was confused on feelings I had for a mare under Warsaw's comand. I thought if I brought you home that I would forget about her, but that wasn't so easy." This was the first time she has ever told anyone about her feeling's for Ylva.

Her eyes search for his reaction. To know how emotionally messed up Solaris really was and how easily she fell prey to the heart. What would he think of her now? It was only about to get worse...

"My feelings for you grew and my feelings for Ylva lessoned, but they were still present. I ended up seeking something more outside of Tinuvel and that is when I met Raider for the first time. I couldn't help the attration I felt for him. He was so muscled, strong, unlike any others that showed me attention." She didn't mean to jab at Angel's stature. He couldn't help his size, but this was no time for lying. "Ylva started to feel like more of a friend, but now Raider had made his way into my heart. I was already pregnant with Galexia at the time so I knew there was no turning away from you. I tried to push away my attraction to Raider and returned home." The next part of the story was all her fault. She should have stayed home that day.

"I thought that I could have you and befreind Raider at the same time just as I was just friends with Ylva. I went to see Raider in the Lagoon, where he lives." Her eyes dart away from Angel. She was sure he was beginning to put things together now. Galexia and herself now live in the Lagoon under Raider's watch. "I learned that I can't be just friends with Raider, but I decided that our family was more improtant to me. I met with my father briefly when he returned and I got the idea that I could move us there. Paradise would be better for you and I wouldn't have to watch my grandfather rape Ylva anymore. I failed her, I did." She couldn't hold back the sobs this time.

The feelings she felt for Ylva back then caused her such pain. She wanted to take Ylva from Warsaw and cuddle her until the pain went away. She wasnt strong enough to defeat Warsaw or strong enough to erase Ylva from her thoughts so she had to leave the Inlet. It takes some time to compose herself again, but once the sobs stop she continued with her story. "Giving birth to Galexia changed a lot of things. Ylva was gone from my mind, as was Raider, and only our family mattered. I was happily raising our daughter, but then you brought home that mare. I got jealous, I don't know why, but I ran to the Lagoon. Raider recieved me and...I spent the night with him."

Her voice lowers to a whisper. "I allowed him to breed me." Her eyes shut tightly unsure of what Angel would go learning this bit of information. Maybe he already had a suspecion, but hearing the words and confirming was a whole different story. Solaris allows silence to go between them for a few minutes before she speaks again. "You know the rest, but I tried to see if I could fix things. If this baby was yours than everything would be fine...I don't know whose baby this is." Her lips quiver as she hold back another sob. "My feelings for Ylva are completly gone now, only our friendship remains. I was hopeful we could rebuild our relationship, but then Rougaru made you leave and soon after I was traded off to be with Raider."

Fate had decided she should be with Raider so she tried to be with only him. "I still love Raider, but looking at Galexia every day reminds me of you and how I still love you, too." This whole mixed up love story was one she wanted to put behind her. Why couldn't she just be happy with one of them? "I love you more." She whispers with eyes staring into the snow covered ground below. "Raider has qualites about him I wish you had. He is strong, he has status, and he has amibitons. I feel powerful at his side, but he is not you. I don't know why I still think of you, but I do." Raider was loving to her much like Angel was, but he wasn't as gentle.

"He is never mean to me or Galexia, but I have seen him do odd things. He has a temper, Angel. It scares me sometimes." She does wonder if she would ever tell him the truth like she has just told Angel what he would do. Would he hurt her or Galexia? Her eyes finally lift to the buckskin stallion that surly did not feel the same about her anymore. "I understand if you can't forgive me, but Galexia needs you. If something were to ever happen to me I would want you to care for our daughter and this child I carry now. I don't know if Raider's temper will be able to handle a young foal." Maybe she was doubting Raider too much. He could protect them and there was no way Angel would be able to take them away from Raider and the Lagoon bachelors. Solaris wasn't even sure she wanted to be saved.
