Re(2): U.S./China Competition in the East/South China Sea

I find it ironic that we who have no possessions and damned few friends in the Pacific Rim feel obligated to challenge China, the power in Asia. After WW II we formed SEATO, which is the Eastern joke equivalent of NATO. The area we should be challenging China is in the Western Hemisphere, particularly Venezuela and Central America. I also believe it's the United States who's outreached ourselves.
