~ a heart like a wildflower
Her eye grow wide as the realization sets in that she possibly could of offended him, as he assures her he is no boy. Dang it Thea, now you embarrassed him. A bit of warmth crawls into her cheeks. "I'm sorry.y. I meant man.." as he postures and arches his neck. A soft smile traces her lips as he introduces himself in very formal way. Then he continues by saying he is a lead stallion, and her eyes grow wide. She is in the presence of a strong man, one who is a defender of his land.
"Badlands?" she says, her emerald eyes full of curiosity. "Is is truly b.b.ad? How does it get a name like that?" she muses aloud. As she shyly looks up at at the intriguing man who stands before her and for the first time looks at him. Her eyes travel the across the strong muscles of his shoulders, glances at his handsome face that glows with pride, and notices the way his coat glistens beneath the sun's touch. She drops her eyes as she realizes she stares for too long.
He apologizes to her and she lifts her gaze back up to meet his, and then admits he has just come from battle. Her brows furrow as she tries to imagine a battle like the one speaks of. "Did you win?" she asks.
As the conversation turns to her, she offers a soft polite smile as she introduces herself. "I am Thea ann, of.." she pauses as she tries to decide what to tell him. Does she say Princess of the Moutain's Glade? In fact she was a princess... is a princess? She sighs and then realizes she has let the silence between them to span into an awkward silence. "nowhere," she finally admits.
