Her heart aches for him. He just seems so defeated. She notices he can barely keep her gaze, and she notices the shame that is written across his face.
"I am glad to here that you are alright," she says with a nod of crown. How could she console him in a time such as this? He is a captive in an enemies land. And the truth is that his choice had been taken from him and it saddens her.
I can't believe that. But the statement is said with the drop of his head. This puzzles her the most and causes her brow to furrow and her to tilt her crown. He acts almost as if the news saddens him. With a sigh, she drops her head to his level and her bicolored eyes search his. A single lock from her forelock falls over her crystalline blue eye as she stares at the painted man before her.
"Why does my news sadden you?" she asks.
She eyes him as he says he would go home from between tightly clenched jaws. She nods, a smile stretches across her lips. Home. They way he says it makes her long for her home. For her mother, and even her father. Her heart clenches as she thinks of her parents, one she knew and one she never met. She drops her bicolored gaze to her hooves, a feeling of jealousy tinges her beating heart, at-least he can return to his loved ones.
What about you? Her eyes glance up from her hooves.
"Paradise has always had a special place in my heart," she muses aloud, she had once been its Queen, the sole owner of all that she could see. But now, she is just... a face in a crowd. She glances back towards Ella, and her heart clenches.
"I have Ella, I can't afford to think like that," plus who would even take in a mother and her child from another man? It would be irresponsible for her to think she could even leave Paradise.
