 Noctis Noctis was trying to make best of his life without his mother and brother. He had been so excited when he found out his mother was pregnant again and then all shit hit the fan and she was gone and he has only seen his brother twice and since Rougaru banned her from coming she seemed to obey his ban. Of course he didn't realize she obeyed because she was thinking about the safety of the thicket herd. He should know this because his mother barely had ever obeyed Rougaru like this. He has passed the cave before but he didn't feel like it was safe to enter, who knew what lived in there. He comes to a brut halt as she says to watch his step and thats when he looks down.
