until she turns from sea to desert

~ she quenches the thirst of every dying creature,

Ca...Ca...Calypso!? she stammered, the words barely able to leave her lips before the tears came pouring down her face. Another sob caught in her throat as she closed the distance between them. She could hardly believe after all of this time she had finally found her daughter, months and months of searching had proved unfruitful. Until the fates intervened, they had put her in a place within the Forest where an enemy had found her and brought her home.

And here she was, with her precious daughter. Her heart clenched in her chest as she laid kisses across the delicate curve of her forehead. And she breathed in her sweet aroma, and for a moment she felt as if the whole world around her stood still. She could of cursed Rougaru for all of the heartache he had put her through, but she almost felt as if she needed to be grateful. Yet, she held her tongue... there would be time for thank you's later. Now, all she wanted to do was to embrace her daughter and just be in that moment with her.

"I will be back my dear daughter," she leans into brush a kiss across her forehead and drops her muzzle to nudge the soft skin of her grand-daughter. She plays with the dark wisps of mane along Mirella's neck before finally she turns from the pair and heads into the surf. The water's are cool to the touch and wrap her in its embrace as the ocean bottom falls away and pushes her into the sea. Even strokes take her away from Paradise and toward the Crossing. Her heart thuds wildly against her chest, a still small voice calls to her and she must go.

The surf hisses and bubbles beneath her as she steps from the ocean; water runs in rivulets off of her supple hips and growing belly. She pauses a moment, her emerald gaze lingers on the brilliant sunset. The colors wash the world around her in vibrant oranges and bright pinks, a breath is caught in her throat. She moves away from the surf just as a fog materializes, it is milky white and thick as it stirs around her legs. She moves softly through the forest that boarders the meadow, eery shapes and transparent ghosts dance within the twilight shadows.

They are the ghosts of those she has loved and lost; they are the ghosts of the words that were meant for her loved ones but were left unsaid. They are the faces of her loved ones haunt her dreams Dixon, Kasabian, Lyden, Asche, all of them have gone and left her. Now, alone she has to mend together the broken pieces and try to fill the holes that they had left behind.

Then out of the fog HE materializes.

Her heart shudders within her chest. Was he real? If he was, than he is just as she remembered him all those years ago. She stumbles forward blindly, her words caught her throat. The fear clenches at her heart. What if this all was just a trick? She draws close enough that his scent engulfs her, until there is just a sliver of space that separates them. She dares to reach her trembling muzzle to touch his shoulder. The muscles are hard and she can feel the warmth that radiates from his hide.

She can not hold it back any longer as her lips begin to tremble. "Asche," she mumbles into his shoulder. The tears begin to slide down her cheeks as another sob leaves her lips.
