The other mare seemed delighted with her name, calling it beautiful. Illusion smiled and dipped her head in polite gratitude. She'd never been the best at taking compliments, so used to being modest and out of sight, out of mind. "Thank you." The mare then gave her own name as Shararat and Illusion tugged her lips wider in a warm smile, her ears pricking to catch all the syllables. "Shararat. Does it mean anything? It sounds so...magical." She hoped that sounded right. It just made it seem like the mare belonged here. Like the sands themselves spelled the name for her. She seemed friendly enough and Illusion was quickly relaxing into her company. As they made it for the top of the dune, she kept pace with the black mare, all too aware of how her own body was more apt to tiring with the growing of another little body inside her right now.

She noticed that Shararat herself kept stealing glanced in her own direction, as if to check on her and Illusion couldn't help but tilt an ear in acknowledgement. Once they reached the top, the other mare spoke of how she loved to look from high up and how it made her feel like a bird. Illusion breathed deep, letting the winter air cool her as she tilted her head toward Shararat. "In a way, I guess we do soar like birds. It's just harder to do in the sinking sands." Her lips tugged into a small smirk at the thought. The other mare made her think of her own daughter, Raptor, who also had such thoughts of freedom and flying like birds. When the black mare asked about the higher dunes, Illusion glances around and shrugged. "Some of them, but I can't say that I've tried them all. My stamina isn't at its greatest right now but soon enough, I'll gain it back." She said with a small smirk.
