Duck, duck, goose!

A moment or two of steadying her footing and Duckie was comfortable with her hocks in the water. She was still except for the flick of her tail now and then. Those ears of course, were swiveling toward the golden creature before her. Those rich eyes faltering not from him as he had looked a bit unsure of her presence. It was his constant glancing back toward behind her that piqued her curiosity and she shifted her nose around. Neck arched and she groaned a bit in displeasure. Not that she didn't love her brother but why must he always be watching over her? Didn't he trust her? She grunted a bit and shook her head briefly. Her nose comes gently back around and those eyes are back on him.

"It is a pleasure Angel." She flicked an ear back briefly as she spoke again. "Don't mind him. That's my brother Goose." She chuckles a bit at the thought of having named him as Goo. She wasn't going to do that to him though; she loved Goose after all. "He's harmless unless provoked or given a reason not to be. He's probably in one of his moods and just doesn't wish to be social right now." That was true enough for him usually. Angel would be right about her not being the type to use his past against him. They might have only just met but she wasn't a villain in this story. That is just not her. Duckie was the carefree; easy-going sort. She was full of energy and curiosity. Duckie saw the good in everyone really. Someone always had a bit of decency deep down she figured. Perhaps that was wrong, but she doesn't really care. She'd rather see someone being good than finding herself troubled by a tyrant.

Angel seemed decent. She hadn't been given a reason to think otherwise yet. Perhaps she'd never be given that reasoning. That would be perfectly fine with Duckie. She was here to find friends and acquaintances after all. There is no time for enemies in her world. Not naturally anyway. Why worry about it? You could hide yourself away and never really live life. That wasn't Duckie. "I'm sorry life's got you down Angel. There's always hope though right? Perhaps you'll have her again someday. Who knows." Life was funny like that honestly. You lose some and you won some. There were good days and there were bad days. She glances back again and calls out. "You just going to stand back there all afternoon and watch? That seems pretty boring brother."

Goose sighed a bit as she realized he was there and addressed him. It was basically an invitation to come hither. Mind as well right? Trotting closer and pausing a little distance from both of them he glances between the two. What now? "This is Angel." Duckie didn't bother to say her brother's name again; she'd already told Angel that. Finally the stallion clears his throat and a rich; deep tone leaves him. "Hello Angel. I'm Goose but I'm sure Duckie here already told you that." Goose knew she had but it was a nice reassurance he figures to tell the stallion himself. He didn't always let his sister take the lead after all. Not that he minded right now though. "It is rare that I see a stallion by themselves. I guess though; you aren't alone anymore." Not with the two of them accompanying him right now.
