I've forgotten what it is to love Vercingetorix

One didn't have to be strong in the ranks to hold a conversation with another. One did not have to worry about her being a power-hungry fool. That was no life to live after all. Aponi wanted success through friends and life. She didn't want it through ranks and hatred. That was no way to live. Not then and not now. She had never changed her ways. She knew what she wanted in life and she would fight for it. She would not fight just because she could. That is how you made enemies and that isn't something she wished to gain ever.

Anything that is special to one can grow so to another. I do not know this forest like you obviously do but perhaps in time. That was something she had plenty of. Time that is. She watches him and listens. He was different and she liked that about him. No the traditional rush and gnash of stallions. Vercingetorix had a lot going for him obviously. Aponi could see a future yet before them. Who knows what it would bring. Perhaps less bad and more good. Yes, she would like that.

Displeased with the offer? Hardly. Aponi isn't one to lay claim to being a jealous creature. She could share her ground with others. She could make friends and companions alike. A herd was supposed to be like a family. You protected your own. She does not know them yet, but that is definitely her intentions for the future. It's another part of life that the islands make sure you have in your life. She offers in response to him about the water and she is quick to follow. Into the sea she goes. Heading for Luthien they are.

It is a good swim. Her hooves find the dry land again though; and she shakes the droplets from her body and tendrils. Her head shifts and dark chocolate eyes steady on him again. Before them are a tangled maze of trees and she breathes in the earthy smells. Aponi found herself liking them already. It smells fresh here. She offered as voice is again escaping her throat. Vercingetorix. You are not alone here. Obvious as she inhaled the scents of others. They were strong and one feminine one in particular seemed to be everywhere. A ranking lady? Perhaps the Matriarch? She had heard of mares running kingdoms but she'd never laid her eyes upon one. She had not spoken to those ladies but maybe that would change now.

In fact; I smell many. Wasn't there strength in numbers though? She thought so and perhaps so did he. Perhaps those who called this home had long since come to realize that. There is a hitch in the air though. Something was off. Something is different. This land is scarred with recent hatred isn't it? What happened? Aponi is curious and why shouldn't she be when it came to a place that she was going to be calling home.
